DIMENSIONS:  D: 45cm x H: 17cm

MATERIAL: Duplex 3mm natural vegetable tanned leather from Tuscany. Wet moulded and hand shaped; hand drawn curves, saddle stitched by hand with waxed polycotton thread for strength and longevity; trimmed by knife, sanded, burnished and waxed. The inside of the bowl can be sealed so it may be used to hold objects or fruit.

TRACABILITY: Leather is a waste material, a by-product of the meat and dairy industry. These vessels are made from vegetable tanned leather, sourced from Tuscany, Italy and Devon, England. It is tanned using water and natural organic materials like mimosa, chestnut and oak bark and is one of the most sustainable ways of tanning leather.
