Oakleigh Desert Boot

Two tone desert boot in navy Italian calf and dark tan deerskin. These are a great example of the Carreducker Bespoke Manufactured service. The inspiration was our ready to wear Barkan Desert Boots which we launched in 2015 with a Kickstarter campaign. One of our favourite customers loved the boots so much he wanted a bespoke version made on his lasts and this is the colourway he chose. And as great fans of bold colour combinations, we obviously approved of his choice.

They are made from a super soft navy Italian calf with a high shine finish and a dark tan British deerskin. As is usual with Bespoke Manufactured, we made a pattern specific to his lasts and a pair of bespoke uppers in the chosen leathers. We then hand lasted and hand welted the boots all the way round the seat. We added a leather midsole and then we sent them to our colleague in Somerset who machine stitched the commando sole; attached the heel; and did the finishing.

The result is an extremely robust yet handsome pair of desert boots which would see you through the roughest terrain in the worst of conditions without a slip. Perfect for walking the dog on a wet afternoon in November.
