Ridgemount Derby Shoe
Bespoke derby shoes come in all shapes and sizes and these are a rather unusual example in that they have a hand stitched raised lake on the vamp and come in a mid brown scotch grain calf. Our aim was to make a shoe you could wear on a weekend in the countryside. We added a thick sole with a light square waist for elegance to keep your feet dry and out of the mud. Additionally, a bellows tongue adds to the water resistance. Finally, the round toe gives you the room to wiggle your toes on cold days.
Plus, if you do get wet, the derby style lends itself to getting the shoes off quickly and warming up by the fire
We made these bespoke derby shoes for an exhibition we participated in at the Royal Academy in London, the theme of which was country pursuits.
So, if you like these, you might also like these shoes we made as part of our countryside-inspired collection.
