Hatfield Adelaide Shoe
Why isn’t the adelaide shoe more popular? We love that gently curving insert on the facings. So much more elegant than a boring old oxford (just kidding, we also love oxfords very much!). And when you combine it with a contrasting textured leather, it really sings. We made this pair for a customer with very wide, size 15 feet who really struggles to find elegant shoes in his size. So we really made an effort with the contours of the last to give him the aesthetic he wanted.
We suggested a black wholecut as this would create the look he wanted. He felt it might look a little plain, so we added the lizard facings which really make them pop
I think the result is very pleasing and he was delighted so an all in all a success – just what we like to achieve at Carreducker
The upper leather is a black calf skin by Weinheimer and the lining is black glace kid.
The customer chose not to have the optional bespoke trees.
